so… what is yin?
YIN IS ITS OWN KIND OF YOGA
Think of yoga as a forest.
There are many different trees — each with its own shape, character and way of growing.
Yin is one of those trees.
It shares some roots with other forms of yoga, but it has grown into something quite unique.
At first, Yin might look like simple stretching. It might even feel a little too easy.
But don’t be fooled.
There’s a whole lot happening underneath the surface.
And that’s where the magic of Yin begins.

In a world that rarely slows down, this is where you do.
Yin Yoga is a refined, restorative practice designed to reset the body and recalibrate the nervous system. Through long-held, supported poses, we work deeply into fascia, joints, and connective tissue — enhancing mobility, easing tension, and supporting long-term resilience.
We often use subtle acupressure principles throughout the practice, to assist in releasing deeper layers of tension, and support the body’s natural healing response. Paired with guided stillness and meditation, each session helps regulate stress, restore focus, and bring the body back into balance. This is not just relaxation. It’s essential restoration for modern life and a smarter way to care for your body

Big Ideas,
Antidote to Modern living?
Our nervous systems are often on high alert on a day to day basis, responding to various stimuli around us; social media, bombarded with news and advertising, work demands, just coming into contact with more and more humans and more and more technology. Because of all this, we certainly have more mental health issues than ever before and our nervous systems are over active…. Basically we all have a lot more tension and stress being held in our bodies than ever before.
Therefore, we need to ensure that we have a broader range of tools in our tool belt, and YIN is one of those essential tools that covers more than just one specific aspect. It’s versatility allows us to address various needs effectively.
Through stillness, longer-held shapes and mindful attention, Yin can support mobility encourage deep tissue release and create space for relaxation.

More Info:
YIN goes that little bit deeper physically and mentally than other forms of yoga movement or other exercise, because you intentionally slow down and allow yourself time.
YIN helps you achieve better mobility, helps reduce stress, decreases injuries, and strengthen bones and joints.
The slow movement and the rebounds you take ensure proper hydration of your cells and deep tissues.
And this is just to start with …

Performance & Recovery Yin
This is not just a stretching class.
This is the work that keeps your body training at a high level—consistently, sustainably, and without breaking down.
Most people focus on intensity.
More weight. More reps. More output. But longevity isn’t built there.
It’s built in what you don’t do enough of:
Slowing down.
Restoring tissue.
Regulating the nervous system. Why This Matters
If you’re training hard but not recovering properly, you’re not progressing—you’re accumulating tension, restriction, and risk.
Yin targets the deeper connective tissues:
fascia
joints
ligaments
The areas most commonly neglected in high-performance environments.
This is what allows:
greater range of motion under load
reduced injury risk
faster recovery between sessions
improved long-term performance
Train Harder—Because You Recover Better
When your body is balanced, you move better.
When you move better, you perform better. This is how athletes stay in the game.
Not by pushing harder every session—but by supporting the body so it can keep going.
What This Brings to Your Space
This isn’t a “nice add-on.”
It’s a missing piece. For your members, this becomes:
the class that keeps them coming back
the reset they didn’t know they needed
the difference between burnout and consistency

Community & Restorative Yin
This is more than a class.
This is a space to exhale.
Where This Work Matters Most
In some environments, people aren’t just physically tired.
They’re holding stress.
Emotion.
Experiences that haven’t had space to move. This is where yin becomes something deeper.
Not performance.
Not pressure.
Just gentle, supported release.A Different Kind of Offering
This work is intentionally slow, grounding, and trauma-aware.
It offers:
a safe way to reconnect with the body
space to soften, without expectation
a moment of stillness in environments that rarely allow it
No pushing.
No forcing.
No need to “achieve” anything.Just being.
Why It’s So Powerful
When the body finally feels safe, it lets go.
Tension unwinds.
Breath deepens.
The nervous system begins to settle. This is where restoration happens—not just physically, but emotionally.
And for many, this kind of space is rare.
For Community Spaces
Whether in women’s refuges, support centres, or community groups—this offering meets people where they are.
Accessible to all bodies.
No experience needed.
Always guided with care. This isn’t about flexibility.
It’s about feeling supported in your own body again.
Creating Meaningful Impact
This work supports:
nervous system regulation
gentle emotional release
reconnection and grounding
a sense of calm and safety
It’s subtle—but deeply felt.
And often, it’s exactly what’s missing.
Accessible, Thoughtful Investment
Sessions are offered with flexibility to support the needs of each space.
Sliding scale and funded options available where needed—while still honouring the value of this work.
Work With Me
If you’re holding space for others, this can support you too.
Let’s create something that feels safe, intentional, and truly supportive for your community.
